June Manning is a native New Mexican, born and raised in the small town of Cerrillos. Raised by her abuelita an unofficial community icon; she is greatly drawn to strong dynamic women hence her magnetism to MANA’s group of mujeres fuertas. June is the mother of four children pleasantly balanced, two girls and two boys. June’s professional career has been focused on financial services, specifically the credit union movement. After some tumultuous childhood/teenage years she found herself in need of a job, like many was forced to prioritize income over higher education. At the young age of 17 she joined the credit union movement working for Del Norte Credit Union through the ranks and earning an education along the way. She knew immediately after joining this team that improving the lives of others through financial services was her calling. Here we are close to two decades later and she continues to serve fellow New Mexican’s through financial services and credit union advocacy. Now with Nusenda Credit Union in Community Engagement, June is also a Credit Union Development Educator, Mother Tongue Mentor, mom, dog mom and wife. She is pleased to serve as MANA del Norte’s Board Secretary.
