Meet the Board of Directors
My name is Kristen Encinias, I am a native from Las Vegas, NM and a graduate from West Las Vegas High School and New Mexico Highlands University. I am a mother to two beautiful girls, who are the center of my world! Currently, I am the high school counselor at Pecos High School. I have been a school counselor for 5 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. My passion for student success has led me to becoming an active member of the Mana Del Norte board. As a high school counselor and a previous higher ed student advisor, I’ve seen the struggle and worrisome in the faces of our future on how they’re going to get through any post secondary institution without financial support. The Mana Del Norte scholarship is a perfect opportunity for me to advocate, support and enable the future of our society and enable a broad range of latinas all across New Mexico. I look forward to serving as the Vice President of the board!
