Thirty years (1989) ago a group of Latinas sharing common interests founded MANA del Norte. MANA del Norte is a nonprofit 501c3 organization, which serves as a voice and resource for Latinas in the northern NM counties of: Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe, San Miguel, and Taos.
Meet the Board of Directors
Dolores E. Roybal is the Executive Director of Con Alma Health Foundation. With assets of close to $30 million, Con Alma is the largest private foundation in NM dedicated solely to health. She has been a long-time member of MANA del Norte; including Board President for two terms, and Chair of the Scholarship Committee. A native of Northern NM, Dr. Roybal has 35+ years of experience in nonprofit and philanthropy work. She currently serves as a board member and vice-chair of Border Philanthropy Partnership. Former service include: Board President, New Mexico Association of Grantmakers, and Hispanics in Philanthropy (HIP). She has a master’s in social work (MSW) and a PhD in organizational behavior & development with a focus on nonprofit management, philanthropy and the nonprofit sector.
Diana was a MANA del Norte scholarship recipient in 2017-2018 and became a member in January 2018. She is currently attending Santa Fe Community College working towards an associate degree in media arts and fine arts. Diana is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and received the NELA, one of the highest honors the society offers. She is also a member of TRIO Student Support Services program and a Student Ambassador for the Santa Fe Community College. When Diana is not in school, volunteering or attending events for organizations, you can find her making jewelry, water color painting and enjoying her family.
Anissa is a native Santa Fean and has worked for the nonprofit community in Santa Fe for over 10 years. She currently serves as the Scholarship Program Manager for the New Mexico Simon Scholars Program, where she manages the college scholarships and works to support scholars through their college journey. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. In addition to serving as secretary for MANA del Norte, Anissa is also co-chair of the 2019 Scholarship Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family.
Jaclyn grew up in Nambe, New Mexico and currently resides in Santa Fe. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Science degree in Biostatistics from the University of Arizona. She specializes in statistical analysis and forecasting and is interested in improving program outcomes through the application of data analysis. Jaclyn currently serves as the Bureau Chief of the Medical Assistance Division for the New Mexico State Human Services Department. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, playing tennis, and spending time with her family and two dogs. Jaclyn is new to MANA as she joined in December 2017, she is excited for the opportunity to make a difference and work with the ladies within MANA.
Vice President of Membership
Nichole was a MANA del Norte scholarship recipient in 2004 and has been a long-time member of MANA del Norte and has served on the board in various positions which include; Board President, Vice-President, Public Relations Coordinator and Secretary. Nichole was recently elected to serve on the MANA National Board. She received a BA in Secondary Education and a MA in Education Administration with a focus on at-risk youth at the College of Santa Fe. Nichole also holds a SHRM-CP and PHR certification. When she’s not volunteering she is enjoying the Pecos wilderness with her family and taking photographs of whatever catches her fancy.
